LORELAI: Aunt Bobbie, hi. It’s Lorelai, Richard and Emily’s girl. Um, I’m the one with . . . yeah, that’s right. Wow, you don’t hear the word “wedlock” much any more.

Aunt Bobbie obviously thinks of Lorelai as the girl who had a child out of wedlock, and told her as much.
